Another CAA Alum Joins UTAs Comedy Touring Department

Former CAA comedy touring agent Andrew Skikne has formally set up shop at UTA.

Skikne’s hire brings to 11 the number of CAA agents who have relocated to UTA in the past week. At CAA, Skikne worked with Nick Nuciforo in the touring and booking department, specializing in comedians such as Tig Notaro.

Nuciforo and four other top CAA reps jolted the biz by moving en masse to UTA as partners on March 31. Nuciforo now heads UTA’s comedy touring department. In addition to 11 agents, UTA has hired two CAA coordinators who worked closely with the defectors, along with nine assistants.

Skikne had been with CAA since 2012. He previously worked for the music booking firms Kork Agency and the Agency Group.

The shuffle with Nuciforo and Skikne comes at the same time that Rob Prinz, head of UTA’s comedy department, and music agent Nikki Wheeler, announced their move to ICM Partners.

In fact, Prinz and Wheeler’s move had been in the works for months. As of Monday, Prinz is a partner at ICM and co-head of its worldwide concerts division.
